This summer's new motorail connections

If you want to avoid traffic jams but still wish to have the comfort of your own car at your holiday destination - DB AutoZug is the answer.

Between April and October 2008 the German motorail operator, DB AutoZug, can take you to 16 dream destinations in Germany, France, Italy and Austria to spend your summer holiday.
News:
  • As of March 2008, DB AutoZug will have a connection from Düsseldorf and Hamburg to Alessandria in Piedmont, Italy. The location of Alessandria between Milan, Turin and Genoa is ideal, also for onward travel to the Italian Riviera, the south of France or Tuscany.
  • Higher cars are allowed on the motorail to Italy and France. Cars with a height of up to 1.83 metres including a roof rack can use all DB Autozug connections from and to the new destination Alessandria in Piedmont. For journeys on the DB AutoZug to and from Avignon and Narbonne in the south of France, a maximum height of 1.75 metres is allowed.
Ideal for motorcyclists are the terminals in Italy - Bolzano and Verona. They cut out a few hairpin bends in the Alps and offer excellent starting points for motorcycle trips within Italy or to neighbouring countries.
