Your Internet Booking - Overview
Here you will find all the information you need with regard to booking tickets online including registration and login procedures.
To book tickets online a one-off registration is required. This can be done either prior to your first booking (input screen in the top left-hand corner) or during the booking process directly under Travel Service.
Tickets and/or Seat reservations / Travel Service
Find your connection and book your ticket online. When booking you may choose to either print your own Online-Ticket (up to 10 minutes prior to departure, for journeys of 51 km or more) or have it sent out by post (for order values of 18 EUR or more; 3 working days in advance - worldwide posting: 8 working days).
The Ticket Shop (only available in German)
Here you will find national and European fixed price and season ticket offers (e.g. the Schönes-Wochenende – Happy Weekend – ticket, international tickets, network season tickets, InterRail, ScanRail) available independently of specific train connections, as well as the BahnCard order form and gift vouchers.
Tips & info
Setting up trip plans: When you register you can set up trip plans (such as your regular route combined with the seat class you normally book) and save them as your personal travel profile. To book one of your saved trips simply log in directly to this page before placing your next order.
Children: Children up to 14 years of age accompanied by their parents and/or grandparents travel free, though they must be included on your ticket.
More information: On the booking screens themselves you will find clickable blue "i-points".
My Bookings: Travel plans changed? Log in (input screen in the top left-hand corner) and cancel any tickets you no longer need before the first day on which they become valid. Online-Tickets can be retrieved and reprinted.
