The Mobility Check is automatically offered whenever you search a connection/route inside Germany.

If you wish the Mobility Check, first search your connection then click the icon 'Mobility Check', which is located above the list of connections.

The information now automatically calculates a corresponding route by private transport, you do not have to add any further details. The Mobility Check also shows you the cost and duration of the journey.

The standard results are based on the full costs of a medium-class car per km.

If you would like the Mobility Check to provide results which are tailored to your individual situation, please click the link 'Change' underneath the individual private transport route shown. This takes you to the page 'Input for the Mobility Check'.

Comparison of Selected Transport Modes along the Entire Route

The bus and train connections can be compared not only with private car transport, but also with travel by taxi and, for journeys up to 30 km, also with travel by bicycle and, for journeys of up to max. 8 km, with travel on foot.

Pricing Information

You can choose settings which affect the calculation results in terms of car costs per kilometre.

For example, you can specify the mileage per annum, or choose between full costs and km-related costs, based on the individual class of car. Irrespective of these settings, you can also enter your own empirical values and enter your individual car costs as the basis for calculation.

ADAC - the German automobile club - has compiled the basis for calculating these costs. Simply click the ADAC icon underneath the individual traffic route(s) determined.

You can also receive a description of the route(s) and a schematic route plan by clicking 'View' in the Map/Route section.

You can then print out the routes and maps in PDF form to take with you on the journey.
