The standard fare affords you complete flexibility, i.e. you can board any train any time and are not tied to a specific service. Tickets can be exchanged or the fare refunded free of charge from the first day of validity.

If the discounted standard fare obtainable with BahnCard 50 is cheaper than a savings fare, Sparpreis 25 or Sparpreis 50 will no longer be offered as bookable alternatives.
